Made from a blend of 33% single grain distilled in Fife (Lowlands) and 67% single malts from Islay (20%), the Highlands (14%) and Speyside (33%), this new ‘peaty masterpiece’ from Great King Street bears the Compass Box seal. First and second-fill bourbon barrels and first-fill sherry casks are selected for the blend, followed by a finishing period spent in French oak barrels to ensure perfect maturity. Profile: refined, elegant. A malty bitterness, smoky (ash) and liquorice peat. Fruity (citrus fruits, dried and candied fruits), spicy (juniper berries, clove) and heady (broom, mimosa) notes.
