Vintage after vintage, this family-owned property sets the quality standard in this historic region of Tuscany. Winemaking at Poliziano is overseen by estate owner and head enologist Federico Carletti. The Poliziano estate was founded by Federico’s father, Dino Carletti, in 1961. The winery is named for famed 15th century poet and scholar Angelo Ambrogini, better known as Poliziano. Poliziano’s Rosso is made from grapes from vineyards specially selected for particular characteristics in order to obtain a wine that is young, fruity, full-bodied but not hard, a selection that allows them to classify the Rosso di Montepulciano as the Second Wine of the Poliziano Winery.
