Based out of Evanston Illinois, FEW takes its name from that of Frances Elizabeth Willard, who was the co-founder of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union. The WCTU was a key player in establishing Prohibition and was also based in Evanston. Named Whiskey Advocate’s Craft Whiskey of the Year in 2013, this is an example of craft distilling at its best. This is a really fresh and grassy rye that leads into a peppery, ginger burn that lingers on the lips. There are flavors of plum and vanilla and hints of sweetness to temper the spice.
