This Kentucky bourbon is famous for its yellow label featuring a rose, and is made at the eponymous distillery. A fine introduction to the world of bourbon. 8/10 by Whisky Magazine’s expert, Dave Broom: Well-balanced, sophisticated. Golden color; the nose initially reveals ethereal, synthetic aromas that evoke varnish. It improves upon aeration, and develops a cereal softness (maize) with liquorice, vanilla and lime blossom.
