The palate shows the aromas in a mild evolution of flavors that is initially sweet, with hints of fruit and builds to sapid oak nuance with vanilla, spice and caramel leading all the way through. The finish gently dawdles while quietly revealing roasted nuts, fennel, sassafras and camphor. This is marvelous whisky, try it neat but it is perfect on ice or in a delicious cocktail. From a mash bill that 95% rye and 5% malted barley that is distilled and then aged in new charred oak barrels for at least five years.
