New York foodies will recognize the name of David Gordon, the Wine Director of the Myriad Restaurant Group which includes Tribeca Grill and Nobu, and who has also created wine lists for a stellar array of New York restaurants and for all the restaurants at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. David produces and distributes his own California wine under the Jeanne Marie, Baccus, and Sandy Cove labels. The grapes for this wine were sourced from several different California wine regions, including the Central Coast, Paso Robles, and Napa; the wine was fermented half in stainless steel, half in neutral barrels, and aged ten months in neutral oak barrels, the result being a medium-bodied Cab that has ripe cherry and cassis flavors, an elegant and supple wine with a touch of licorice on a harmonious finish.
