The 2009 Chardonnay may be the finest example of this cuvee that Wyatt has yet released. Fifty percent of the fruit comes from Mendocino and 46% from Clarksburg, all fermented and aged in stainless steel. Readers should look at this as a delicious, somewhat exotic, tropical fruit-filled wine made in a crisp, medium-bodied, Maconnais style. Loads of white peach, honeysuckle, and pineapple are present in this white, which shows surprising nervosity, freshness, and purity. Drink it over the next year. —Robert Parker,
